Reading words with long ‘o’ ow, oa, o-e, o all make the long ‘o’ sound (there are also more uncommon ways). blow (ow) goat (oa) broke (o-e) so (o) Teach one way to say the long sound 'o' first. Then, when your child is confident at this, teach variations of this sound. To support reading, it can benefit a child for them to identify and spot the complex sound first.
