Another view of installing a mast on a rotating tower. We hoisted the mast with the gin pole and carefully lowered it into the thrust bearing. To prevent top-heavy equipment from flipping in the air, we use a custom-built tool that mounts to the top of the gin pole — it’s a hoop made from 3/16” EHS guy wire designed to cradle long masts or 23’ omnidirectional antennas.
