Mint (Mentha) thrives in full sun to partial shade. Plant in rich, well-draining, and moist soil. It is a prolific plant with resilient rhizomes sending out runners horizontally. If allowed, mint will take over an area in the garden, so it’s best to keep mint in containers (unless you have the room to designate a location for it).
