CHICAGO ( WGN) — Three days away from a Bears-Packers wildcard matchup at Soldier Field, any fans wanting to witness the rivalry in person can still buy tickets. Ticketmaster seats in the nosebleeds start at around $400 bucks each, and the best seats in the house are going for more than $4,000 apiece.
Start with this list of solid alternatives to your living room. The NFL wild card matchup at Soldier Field kicks off at 7 p.m.
This is just the third time these rivals have met in the playoffs. Aaron Rodgers and the Packers knocked off Jay Cutler and the Bears 21-14 in the NFC Championship in 2010 gaining a measure of revenge for their loss to Chicago in 1941 by the score of 33-14.
The Bears' defense was one of the more opportunistic in football this season, leading the NFL with 33 total turnovers—22 interceptions, 10 fumbles—despite being towards the bottom-half of the league in both points (24.4) and yards (361.8) allowed per game.
Fifteen Packers starters have played in the playoffs. The Bears: seven. Jordan Love will be making his fourth playoff start. Caleb Williams his first.
The Green Bay Packers' versatile Bo Melton will be placed on injured reserve because of a knee issue that is not a torn ACL and will miss the playoffs, coach Matt LaFleur said Wednesday. Melton has contributed at wide receiver and on special teams while practicing and being listed as a reserve cornerback on the depth chart because of issues in the defensive secondary.
The Green Bay Packers have a new third quarterback on the end of the roster with Desmond Ridder. Plus, there are three additions to the practice squad.
