After beginning his career as a defensive end for Notre Dame, Onye has slowly built into an impressive defensive tackle prospect in recent years. He has been a part of the rotation each of the last years, but really showed tremendous signs of growth this past season. Onye ended the year with 26 total tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks.

It would be a massive recruiting win for new Nittany Lion head coach Matt Campbell. Keeping this caliber of a recruit to stay at home is no easy feat.

The current Notre Dame coach also shouted out former Fighting Irish center Pat Coogan, who is now playing for the Hoosiers. Freeman did his best to walk a diplomatic line -- and we'll see if Miami even remembers this in November.
