The Netherlands took a big step towards the World Cup's Round of 32 with a resounding 5-1 victory over Sweden on Saturday, June 20 in Houston. The Dutch took the lead in the fifth minute on Brian Brobbey's goal and the 24-year-old added another barely 10 minutes later.

The Netherlands hammered Sweden 5-1 in a statement performance at the 2026 World Cup. The Dutch were held to a 2-2 draw by Japan in their opening game but wasted little time making an impact against the Swedes, with Brian Brobbey striking twice in the first half.
